You could say Dr. Vincent Key is a pretty busy guy. He’s an orthopedic surgeon at The University of Kansas Health System. He’s also the head team doctor for the Kansas City Royals baseball team. And thanks to the All-Star Game break in the major league schedule, he’s also going with the USA Track and Field Team to the North American Caribbean Championships in Queretaro, Mexico as the team doctor.
In the video, Dr. Key talks about he got started with the USA team…thanks to a neighbor. He also describes how caring for these track and field athletes, many of whom will be on the USA Olympic team in 2020, is a lot like caring for the Royals. And he talks about how his career as a college track and field athlete helps him care for these young athletes.
