The University of Kansas Hospital leads the nation in labor and delivery outcomes according to a five year study of PROMPT. PROMPT is a unique safety program that KU Hospital has improved by requiring all members of the delivery team to learn and train annually. Among the outcomes, significantly fewer cesarean sections, fewer injuries to babies and avoided medical costs totaling $20 million.
