Jill understands the drive to “be” the best whether it’s on a playing field or in a newsroom. She believes competition is healthy. As News Director of the Medical News Network, she maintains the same high news and story-telling standards that earned her an Emmy® award as Executive Producer of Investigative and Specials at KSHB, and an Edward R. Murrow Award as anchor for KOAM. Her broadcasting career includes an eight year stint as News Director for the ABC affiliate in St. Joseph as well as prime time anchor/reporter for stations across Missouri and Kansas. Jill has a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies and is twice graduate of the Carol Kneeland Project for Ethical Journalism. She takes pride in having served on a committee that drafted the national ethics code for broadcasters. Born and raised in Missouri, she is a life-long Chiefs fan which made working for The University of Kansas Hospital a bonus as they partner with the Chiefs. When not telling stories, Jill loves scuba diving, motorcycle riding and spending time with family.
